This theatrical marathon comprises three melologue-based stories, featuring two voices – the narrator and the music – unfolding over the course of a day from afternoon to evening. These stories reveal three prominent Italian women writers of the 20th century – Alice Ceresa, Anna Banti, and Dolores Prato – through their most powerful writings. Three melologues combine storytelling and live music, each entrusted to a different generation of performers: Evelina Rosselli in Bambine by Alice Ceresa, Michela Cescon in Lavinia Fuggita by Anna Banti, and Anna Foglietta in Scottature by Dolores Prato.
LESSEMI reinterprets and reconstructs women’s experiences and history through their literature, shedding light on a past rich in overlooked talents and hidden works.
