Capitini Day
on the occasion of the 2025 Perugia-Assisi Peace March for the Brotherhood of Peoples
“Nonviolence is not only the refusal of current violence, but distrust toward the unjust outcome of past violence.”
(Aldo Capitini)
Encounters and Occasions
with contributions by Guido Barbieri, Giuseppe Moscati, Silvia Paparelli, Daniele Piccini
Among the lesser-known and less-explored aspects of Aldo Capitini’s life is his deep passion for music. A knowledge cultivated through encounters and opportunities tied to the musical programming of his years in Perugia. This journey begins with a number of documents held at the Aldo Capitini Study Center Foundation and the State Archives of Perugia, and is enriched by personal accounts and additional reflections, aiming to reconstruct an often overlooked facet of Capitini’s personality and cultural interests.
The meeting will also include a reflection on Capitini as a poet, a central figure of the evening event.
