An elegant programme that weaves together art and emotion—that is what the new 2025/2026 season of Teatro Cucinelli promises, unveiled today at a press conference in Solomeo.
The season opens on Friday, October 31 at 9:00 PM with Toni Servillo, starring in Il fuoco sapiente by Giuseppe Montesano: a powerful and visionary monologue on the living legacy of Greek culture.
Next, on November 5 and 6, Giuseppe Zeno and Euridice Axen take the stage with Swept Away by an Unusual Destiny in the Blue Sea of August, the play inspired by Lina Wertmüller’s iconic film, filled with vibrant irony.
On November 22, the theatre will host the world premiere of Crime and Punishment, adapted by Glauco Mauri and directed by Andrea Baracco—a theatrical journey into the depths of conscience and morality.
On Saturday, December 13 at 9:00 PM, Federico Buffa takes the stage with Olympics Between War and Peace. Then, on January 15 and 16 at 9:00 PM, the curtain rises on RI TE, a striking dialogue between Israel Galván and Marlene Montero Freitas, where flamenco and contemporary dance merge into a single poetic gesture.
One of the most anticipated events features Laurie Anderson, on Thursday, January 29 and Friday, January 30 at 9:00 PM, with Republic of Love—a magnetic reflection on the state of art in times of crisis.
On Sunday, February 1 at 5:30 PM, it’s time for White Fang, the beloved classic for young audiences, brought to the stage by Francesco Niccolini and Luigi D’Elia in a tout public performance recommended for ages 7 and up.
On March 19 at 9:00 PM, the intense clash between two women representing two completely different worldviews will be the heart of La denuncia by Ivan Cotroneo.
On the afternoons of March 28 and 29 at 5:30 PM, the historic Carlo Colla & Sons Company will enchant audiences of all ages with The Pied Piper, a tale of wonder and enchantment. On Sunday, April 19, the theatre will host Lessemi, a unique literary marathon featuring Evelina Rosselli, Michela Cescon, and Anna Foglietta, dedicated to great 20th-century women writers such as Alice Ceresa, Anna Banti, and Dolores Prato.
The season will close with the national premiere of Lu Santo Jullàre Francesco by Dario Fo and Franca Rame, performed by Matthias Martelli, on May 22 and 23 at 9:00 PM—a tribute to spiritual freedom and the joyful fusion of comedy and profound thought.
