Una delle più grandi attrici francesi, Fanny Ardant, per la prima volta in Umbria, reciterà sul palco del teatro Cucinelli, in esclusiva nazionale, questo bellissimo testo tratto dalla sceneggiatura scritta da Marguerite Duras per il capolavoro di Alain Resnais.

Due pagine haydniane aprono il programma: la notevole «grande» ouverture per la meno fortunata opera L’isola disabitata, da Metastasio (1779), e la prima (1761) delle sinfonie scritte per il principe Esterházy, anche in questo caso con un impianto descrittivo, poi confermato nelle due successive (Le Midi, Le Soir).

La compagnia Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, fra le più interessanti e attive realtà nel panorama della danza contemporanea, presenta a Solomeo un galà di estratti dai capolavori della danza classica.

Tra la composizione del primo (op. 21, 1874 rev. 1877) e dell’ultimo (op. 90, 1890-91) dei quattro trii con pianoforte di Dvořák trascorrono una quindicina d’anni, che permetteranno al più grande dei compositori boemi di maturare il proprio stile, personalissimo e fortemente influenzato dai ritmi e dalle melodie della sua terra.

Umberto Orsini è il protagonista assoluto di quello che viene considerato uno dei più bei romanzi di Thomas Bernhard, una sorta di “concentrato” dei temi dell’autore, il suo testo più “intimo”, come sottolinea Patrick Guinand, quello in cui affronta nel modo più diretto il tema dei sentimenti, il punto più vicino alla sua parola, alla sua voce d’uomo, quella dell’autobiografia, che ci conduce nella sua casa-fortezza di campagna e nel suo universo letterario.
