Teatro Cucinelli welcomes back the marionette theatre company Carlo Colla & Figli for a timeless classic for the whole family.
This poetic fable tells the tale of the events that had shaken France in the time of Louis XIV. These events are at the core of the curse that Desolation casts upon little Aurora. Opposing the mysterious prophecy that seals off space and halts time stands the rhyme of Fairy Harmony who enchants and lulls the little Sylphs and the castle dwellers, reenacting the ritual of the motherly figure who soothes the child’s spirit with fantastical stories. The arrival of Prince Desiré restores the taste for chivalric life, and, having defeated the creatures summoned by the wicked Desolation, the prince can hasten towards his heroic endeavor and awaken the beauty and the castle dwellers from the deep slumber into which they had fallen.
